METARHIZIUM ANISOPLIAE
Metarhizium anisopliae is a naturally-occurring soil fungus used as biological insecticide that infects and kills root grubs , termites , ants , locusts and many soil insects. It infects all the stages of insects including eggs, larvae, pupal, nymphal and adult’s. The conidial spores enters the host through pores of its sense organs and start germinating. It starts producing swelling in the germ tube and deriving nutrition from the host. The fungus then produces a lateral extension of hyphae inside insect body which starts feeding on insects internal contents. It also producse secondary metabolites that helps the fungus overcome the host defences. After consuming internal contents fungus breaks out of insects making the insect appear fuzzy.
It infects the insect on contact and does not need to be consumed by the host to cause infection. Metarhizium anisopliae starts multiplying due to availability of moisture and target pests. It starts pathogenising in colonies as the infection spreads from insect to insect hence the entire colony gets pathogenised. Therefore, It is used for long term control.

Metarhizium Anisopliae, formerly known as Entomophthora anisopliae , is a fungus that grows naturally in soils throughout the world and causes disease in various insects by acting as a parasitoid.
The fungal genus Metarhizium is both entomopathogen and endophyte, they are found in soil, insects and they are able to colonize roots of a variety of plants, resulting in increased plant growth and providing increased tolerance against pests and diseases.
MODE OF ACTION:
When the spore of this fungus comes in contact with the cuticle (skin) of the target insect pests, it germinates and grows directly through the spiracle cuticle in to the inner body of the host. The fungus proliferates throughout the insect's body, draining the insect of nutrients and the infected insects eventually dies.

Paecilomyces Lilacinus is a naturally occurring fungus found in many kinds of soils throughout the world. As a pesticide active ingredient, Paecilomyces lilacinus is applied to soil to control nematodes that attack plant roots.
The fungus showed no toxicity or pathogenicity when tested in rodents and various invertebrates. Paecilomyces lilacinus does not survive at human body temperature.
Nematodes feed damage the plant roots and reduce the water and nutrient uptake which results in reduction in yield. In addition, the infested plant becomes more vulnerable to other stress factors such as heat, water shortage, nutritional deficiencies and disease causing organisms. It is difficult to control these nematodes with common chemical pesticides.
It is a talc based formulation of nematophagous fungus, Paecilomyces lilacinus, that is capable of parasitizing nematode eggs, juveniles and females, and thus reduces the plant parasitic nematode population in the soil.
MODE OF ACTION:
The spore of this fungus acts by infecting, parasitizing and killing eggs, juveniles and young adults of most phytophagous nematode species. When the spore comes in contact with different stages , they germinate and grow and proliferate throughout it eventually paralysing leading to the death of the nematode.

Bacillus Thuringiensis Kurstaki is a naturally occurring rod-shaped, spore-forming, aerobic, grampositive micro-organism (bacterium) that is found throughout most areas of the world. It can be found in soils and on leaves/needles and in other common environmental situations. When the bacteria produces spores, it also produces unique crystalline proteins. When eaten, these natural proteins are toxic to certain insects.
MODE OF ACTION:
Bacillus thuringiensis kurstaki must be eaten by the target pest larvae in order to cause mortality. The ingested bacterium is not what kills the larvae, but rather a protein crystal produced by the bacterium.
The crystal carries a toxin that is lethal to some lepidopteran larvae. To release the toxin, the crystals require the alkaline environment found in the gut of lepidopteran larvae.
When Bacillus thuringiensis kurstaki is eaten by a susceptible larva, the toxin is released, the midgut wall is destroyed, the gut becomes paralyzed, and the larva stops feeding within a few minutes. Destruction of the midgut wall allows the bacteria to enter the blood of the target insect, causing full-scale infection and death of the insect. This process may take 3-5 days so, unlike the situation with some chemical insecticides, there is not an immediate knockdown of insects following treatment.

BEAUVERIA BASSIANA
Beauveria bassiana is a entomopathogenic naturally-occurring fungi which is used as biological insecticide throughout the world. As a species, Beauveria bassiana parasitizes a very wide range of arthropod hosts. Beauveria bassiana infects all stages of insect, including eggs, larvae, pupae, grubs, nymphs, hoppers and adult. As soon as the fungus comes in contact with pathogen, it starts penetrating the cuticle and germinating inside the insect body resulting in death of the pathogen. It secrete enzymes which attack and dissolve the cuticle, penetrate the skin and grow into the insect body.It then releases toxin which weakens host's immune system.
The hyphae through enzymes action, proliferate insect body and cause mortality through a combination of chemical, mechanical, water loss and nutrient loss effects. The insect body ultimately gets covered with white mycelium and spores. Certain toxins are produced by this fungus which cause mortality. Now a days,It is being used as a biological insecticide to control a number of pests such as termites, thrips, whiteflies, aphids and different beetles. It is used in the control of bedbugs and malaria-transmitting mosquitos.
TARGET CROPS:-

Bio Consortium is a unique blend of organic insecticides consisting more than 10 types of beneficial microorganisms that help to prevent and control various pests and diseases.
Bio Consortium is a biological insecticide based on a consortium of selected strains of beneficial naturally occurring microbes that protects crops from Borer attack caused by several types of borers like stem borer and shoot borer.
Bio Consortium is used as an effective foliar spray/ stem swabbing agent, to combat borers through the antagonism expressed by the microbial consortia towards borers.
MODE OF ACTION:
The fungus attaches to the external body surface of insects and larvae in the form of microscopic spores. Under the right conditions of temperature and humidity, these spores germinate, grow as hyphae and colonize the insect’s cuticle; eventually they bore through it and reach the insects body cavity. After some time the insect is killed.
After death occurs, the fungus proceeds to grow off the host producing a white bloom effect. The insect is covered by a white to yellowish cottony/mealy mold layer. The conidia spores are then released into the environment and a new life cycle begins ensuring constant control of the target pests.

BACILLUS THURINGIENCES
Bacillus thuringiensis (BT) is a naturally-occurring, spore-forming, soil-dwelling bacterium which is used as biological pesticide. BT occurs naturally in the gut of caterpillars, on leaf surfaces, aquatic environments, animal feces, insect-rich environments, flour mills and grain-storage facilities. BT experiences sporulation when their are limited resources. During sporulation, many BT strains produce crystal proteins (proteinaceous inclusions), called endotoxins that have been known for decades to display insecticidal action against some insect groups.
The endospores are released through sporulation upon contact with the insect after spraying. This process includes ingestion of the Crystal protein by a vulnerable insect, solubilization, and processing from a protoxin to an activated toxin core in the insect's digestive fluid. This results in cell parallysis and eventually death of the insect. Time taken for the occurrence of death is dependent on the presence of specific receptor sites on the insect's gut wall. This has led to their use as insecticides and more recently to genetically modified crops using BT genes, such as BT corn.
TARGET CROPS:-
Vegetables (Tomato, Cabbage, Cauliflower), Cotton, Pulses, Paddy, Chilli, Okra etc
METHOD OF APPLICATION AND DOSAGE:-
Foliar Spray: Take 5 to 10 gm. Samridhi Bio Thuri per ltr of water. Spray with high volume knapsack sprayer or power sprayer with sticker at the appearance of insect pests mainly DBM (Diamond Back Moth) & Helicoverpa in Tomato & Cotton. Repeat the Foliar Spray at 10 times .
COMPATIBILITY:-
Bacillus thuringiensis is plant and environment compatible. It can be mixed with bio-fungicide; Bio-insecticide and bio-fertilizer don’t mix with chemical fertilizers.
